Halong City is the cultural, economic and political centre of the Vietnamese province of Quang Ninh. Halong Bay is internationally renowned and has been recognised as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO for its thousands of natural islands.
A double coaster with a sea view has been erected right in Halong Bay to further enhance the offer for the host of tourists there. A team of five fitters built the two tracks of 600 and 460 metres respectively. Two separately running hoists of approx. 340 m in length carry the passengers to the start along some dizzying heights (up to 15 m). Our planners, designers and fitters were faced with great challenges locally due to difficult terrain conditions. For example, 83 foundations for steel construction had to be planned to provide firm support for all the stanchions, a triple gyro and four other simple gyro structures. With the exception of some snagging, the system, which is scheduled to open by the end of December / beginning of January 2017, is complete. With the customer, the Sunland Good Supply Investment Co. Ltd., we have already built a wonderful double track ride in Da Nang.
