What do we do?
We are known around the world as a trusted manufacturer of toboggan runs and suspended rides, as well as water slides and slides for children and events. Our innovative products are in use from the mountain ranges of China to European theme parks, to American ski areas, to shopping malls, playgrounds, and even cruise ships.
Thanks to our many years of experience, we are able to offer our customers customised solutions that improve the attractiveness and profitability of their facilities.
We support projects from initial idea through to completion, and also offer reliable after sales service when the project is complete.
Who are we?
The headquarters of our mid-sized, family-owned and operated company is located in the Hessian town of Rasdorf, where we have enjoyed stable development for over 50 years.
The idea for a summertime toboggan run came about as a way to continue our ski lift operations in the off-season. Company founder Josef Wiegand turned the idea of a summertime toboggan run into a whole new standard for recreational outdoor experiences.
Water slides and dry slides were added later on, technically and visually refined to offer an unbelievable variety of options and create excitement around the world. Water slides and other water attractions are distributed exclusively through our partner, wiegand.waterrides gmbh.
Today, Hendrik Wiegand has taken over management of the company in its second generation. Our corporate philosophy focuses on our social responsibility towards our customers and employees. We produce sustainable, long-lasting products.
What competitive advantage do we offer?
Since we constructed the first summertime toboggan run in 1975 (which we still operate today), our company has enjoyed a long history and gained extensive expertise. Our experiences operating the run, and lively exchanges with our existing customers in all product divisions continue to inspire us to optimise and develop our products.
There is no doubt about it: everything we do is “Made in Germany”.
We maintain internal production controls in accordance with DIN EN
ISO 3834, and only employ welders who have been tested in accordance with ISO 9606. Our modern machine fleet is another pillar of our success.
It delivers outstanding levels of quality, safety and comfort, ensuring our products fulfil the highest international standards and guaranteeing technical acceptance by the German TÜV.
