With an impressive project, Skypark Sentosa in Singapore is setting new standards in the field of modern leisure attractions: the tallest dry slide complex in South-East Asia has been successfully completed. The complex reaches a height of around 43 metres and comprises two spectacular rides: a tubular slide with a sectional polycarbonate cover and a U-Drop slide. Both slides stretch over a length of approximately 97 metres and offer visitors an extraordinary ride experience.
A particular highlight of the project is the conveyor start – the first of its kind to be used on a dry slide anywhere in the world. This innovative conveyor system enables a comfortable and safe entry and takes the user experience to a whole new level.
The integrated Wie-Glow illumination also creates a striking atmosphere. The combination of interior and exterior lighting, special interior illumination within the U-Drop slide and a dynamic twister effect transforms the facility into a real eye-catcher both during the day and after dark.
Skypark Sentosa: New attraction at Sentosa’s landmark
The new dry slide complex forms part of the Skypark Sentosa on Singapore’s leisure island of Sentosa. It has been integrated around the existing Bungy Tower and complements the park’s well-known range of adventure attractions, which include, amongst others, Singapore’s only bungee jump, the Giant Swing and the Skybridge.
The two new slides, ‘Skydrop’ and ‘The Big Klook Slide’, are considered the highest dry slides in South-East Asia. The Skydrop in particular, with its U-Drop element, provides an almost free fall at the start of the ride, offering a unique adrenaline-fuelled experience. The attraction combines state-of-the-art slide technology with elaborate light and sound effects, underlining Skypark Sentosa’s ambition to set new standards in the international leisure market.
With its extraordinary height, innovative features and a spectacular lighting concept, the facility represents another milestone for modern dry slides and strengthens Skypark Sentosa’s position as one of Asia’s leading adventure destinations.
