Another project of a "special kind" has been completed by the employees from our dry slide department.
The "Museum of Ice Cream NYC" right on Broadway in Lower Manhattan will offer a host of new attractions on an area of almost 25,000 square metres across three floors, including a huge "beehive" and the largest candy sprinkler pool to date in the chain, which runs a similar museum in San Francisco.
A further highlight will be the 23-m long and 9.5-m high tubular spiral slide, which meanders down through the three floors, passing through two openings in the ceiling. Combined as a full tube with a partial section as an open slide with polycarbonate cover and complete with comfort start and sofa run-out, the system painted fully in pink dovetails perfectly into the future style of the museum.
The slide is held firmly in place by a suspension system at the top, with the fixed points located in the closed ceiling construction.
