Event cinema in Kassel - Special slide for the children's hall completed

The movie palace Kassel is an impressive building in the heart of Kassel. Its unique architecture is a highlight in the entire cityscape. "After the complete reconstruction in 2020, the interior will be dominated by a classically elegant style, creating an impressive balancing act between modern cinema enjoyment and traditional film glamour ... “

Germany's “most beautiful and modern cinema", according to its own statement, offers an unbelievable variety of possibilities in 15 halls equipped with the latest technology (IMAX, 4DX, 270° Screen-X-screen, etc.).

Young cinema-goers have also been taken into consideration: A hall specially equipped for children with light games, a play corner and - so far unique in Germany - a slide makes cinema visits an unforgettable event for children. The children's box slide is an exceptional construction specially adapted to the special conditions existing in the cinema. It was placed on the existing stairs and starts directly at the top of the entrance to the cinema hall. In order to meet all safety requirements, the 500 mm wide slide was equipped with a special entrance. Over a length of 11 m it overcomes a height difference of 4 m. Another exciting feature is the curved exit at the end, which allows the slide to end directly in front of the hall's large screen. A special black matt paint on the inside ensures that the visual effects are not reflected in the slide. The entire slide is clad on the wall and staircase sides, so that it adapts to the stairs and interior as a "closed box".

The Filmpalast was reopened in mid-October.
