The four-seater transporters of the “Wie-Li” ® system fill a gap in the winter sports service business. In many resorts there is no uphill transport for toboggans and sleds. The popularity of tobogganing is increasing greatly because this winter sport does not need expensive equipment or training.
At present riders have to scramble to the top of the toboggan slope.

Description:
In the loading station the riders with their toboggans/sleds, as well as snowboarders with their boards, enter the stationary transporter and sit down. The transporter then rolls on stainless steel tubular rails to the uphill track, where it clamps automatically on to a transport cable, running between the rails. The loaded transporters are pulled uphill at 2 to 3m/sec on the rails, which are supported on cradles above the normal snow cover. The track can be curved and provided with an intermediate stop for Tubing.
At the arrival station – watched by a video system – the transporter releases from the cable and comes to rest for the riders to dismount safely and comfortably, ready to enjoy their slide down the slope. After the transporter has been checked electronically to ensure that all passenger have dismounted, it rolls to the entrance platform „top“ in order to facilitate the sightseeing guests with a pleasurable ride downhill, whether in winter or in summer. The rail system is part of a closed circuit, however, the downhill track can be guided completely independent from th euphill track, in order to provide the riders with glorious views. After being detached from the rope, the adjustable eddy-current brake guarantees highest safety – completely free from wear and maintenance.
But that is not all. Up to four skiers at a time can ride on special “Wie-Li” ® transporters. They slide on to the stationary transporter and sit down. At the top they leave the stationary transporter sliding forward. All this in greater comfort than many a chairlift and no draglift can provide.
In summer as well as winter the “Wie-Li” ® is the perfect transport system. Mountain bikers, grass boarders and hikers will all be delighted with it. Should it rain, a light-weight Makrolon roof can quickly be added to protect the riders.
