The construction works in the Thermal Erding, which will be extended by several attractions and highlights, commence just now.
The most diverse slides with varying start heights up to 52 ft will be installed, which can be reached by two lifts and a stairway. All this is situated under a huge sky dome with a 50 m diameter.
The World of Slides provides the proper style for everyone’s linking. Whether “cowards” or “daring ones”, everybody finds the appropriate slide.
The “Magic Eye” is at the same time the longest slide and with a start height of 52 ft the highest one. On this closed, eye-shaped slide one can slide down the 300 m with a tube. The tubes are deployed for “Speed Blaster” as well. The characteristic about this is that one slides partially uphill several times. The tubes are transported back to start by a conveyor belt after they have arrived at the finish below.
The courageous ones will enjoy the “Speed Slide” and the “Turbo Slide”, which provide with a very special experience due to their length of 34 m and 66 m respectively and a 60° inclination. The so-called “jump” is nothing for cowards, too. This slide is built like a ski-jump, whereas one is caught by a cloth and then slides into the exit pool. Another highlight of the Thermal Erding is the double-deck slide, in which 2 “Tumble Waves” run on top of each other. The lower slide is darkened and is equipped with light effects.
As the name implies, the slide called “Absolute Beginners” is suitable for beginners, children or less courageous ones. This 65 m long water slide has a comfortable 10% inclination. The “Triple Slide” is also rather for children.
Of course, the fully with light and sound effects equipped “Black Hole Slide” can’t be missing. The “Black Hole” has a spacious 47 inch diameter and is 436 ft long.
Yet another highlight is the “Space Bowl”. This slide allows you to slide in an open funnel and then through the central hole further downward into the exit pool. Lust but not least we have to mention the “White Water River”, in which one is swilled like in a torrent through rapids, narrow turns and calming tarns. The course of the river is record-breaking 387 ft long.
Generally, the entire World of Slides is a superlative. Super steep, endless long and slides in all variations – and all this roofed – this is unique in whole Europe.
This World of Slides is supposed to be opened at the end of March 2007.
